What This Means

You can use Wippy in commercial projects, modify the source code, and distribute your modifications. Modified files must remain under MPL-2.0, but you can combine Wippy with proprietary code in a larger work.

You must make the source code of any modified MPL-licensed files available when you distribute them.

Dependencies

Wippy uses various dependencies, each with their own licenses. Most are permissively licensed open-source libraries compatible with commercial use.

One bundled component, the WASM runtime (wippyai/wasm-runtime), is licensed under the Business Source License 1.1. You may use it in production, except to offer it to third parties on a hosted or embedded basis in a manner that competes with Wippy AI's products or services. Four years after each version is published, that version converts to the Apache License 2.0.
